I was thinking the guy would get out of the truck with a gun in his hand instead of a tire iron. You never know about the nuts that are out there.

That's why if there's been no harm, then just skidoo. It's not worth it, even though we get mad as hell. Heck, there have been a couple times I'd have liked to bury my helmet in someone's head. It ain't worth it.

I'm afraid it isn't just a Kentucky thing. Happens all over the country. We have a bunch of nut cases living in the US.

If you think it's bad here, it's worse elsewhere, believe it or not. Nutcases abound everywhere. You could stack them like cordwood and you'd run out of bullets before nutcases. Or is that aholes? :) I am not sure anymore.

Pickup driver tries to kill motorcyclist

Ok, I'll play devil's advocate. This is speculation on my part. The road they were traveling has a lot of twists in it and is likely a hot spot for bikes. I suspect that bikes passing cars going a legal speed happens regularly. I have had sport bikes pass me on twisty roads because I'm spoiling "their" fun. I've had this happen on my bike as well as in my car. Sport bikes do not have a license to use the road as their personnel race track. I don't care how well they can ride! Yes, the p/u driver was over the top but bikers were the one's who were initially wrong. I don't ride in a manner that can endanger anyone around me and expect the same courtesy from every driver on the road.

It doesn't matter who was "initially wrong." No one has the right to take the law into their own hands and try to mete out their idea of justice.

With that said, had I been the biker in the front, there is no way in hades that I would have been stopped at that stop sign waiting. Especially, in that postion where that truck could have just run right over him. As for the biker in the rear, that was very foolhardy walking up to the driver's side of the truck. If the truck driver was to have had a gun things could have gotten very ugly very quickly.

I agree with you Bob, the p/u driver had no right to serve his style of justice. I am frustrated with some of the motorcycle crowd who can't understand why anyone would want to obey the speed limit. It has been said before that it only takes a few to give us all a bad name.

The flipside of that is the ahole that drives the speed limit in the left lane and won't let anyone pass. Iowa is filled with such control freaks. When I went on a vacation last a couple weeks ago out to the west coast and back, I didn't see the CF behavior I see in Iowa. In NY, they'd be run off the road eventually. Must be a geo-cultural thing.

I think the truck driver wants to block that guy in the motorcycle because it's in NO PASSING ZONE (double line) but still, still crazy. Let it go and move on. That's only my point of view.
