Sorry to hear you aren't able to do the ride Scott, and can totally understand and relate.
Like you, nobody "feels the pain" about not going more than me. It's a huge disappointment on my part. Our situations are almost an exact mirror image. I have just gotten over the fact that it's not going to happen for me, in the last day or so. I hope you continue to get well Scott and that we get a chance to have a few "brews" together at the "Redwoods rally".

I just want to say to everyone going to MV,.... to have a great time and to ride safe and watch out for the other guy. I know I for one will be thinking of all of you. I would have left yesterday had I still been going.

You can be and should be Daryl, we can sit in a lawn chair and wait for the crowd to arrive back everyday.

closest airport would probably be asheville nc that is about 30 miles, ....then Knoxville which is about 50 miles. Would have to rent a car or talk Steve into picking you up ::)

I can always use some help keeping the coolers full. And no problem picking someone up at the airport. ;)

Hummmm is right. My only issue is getting it Ok'd by the workers compensation. Might be too late of a thought now, for me. Let me go look up the cost of a flight.

you can ck but it might be cheaper and quicker to fly into Asheville NC it seems for some reason it is higher to fly from or into Knoxville.

It seems the best I could find over the weekend is about $1300. Anything without a week or two notice and you pay the price. I would have thought it would be last minute deals that would be cheaper. It's half that price if you book in advance. Very doable had I thought further ahead.
