The nest is almost empty

Both my daughters moved out. Then boomeranged.
One with husband and grandkids in tow.
Daughters left again, mother-in-law moved in.
Our plan of being in our late 40's and having the house
to ourselves lasted about 2 months. :(" title="" border="0"/>
So who knows CJ you might need to keep the house for awhile.

Gee wiz. Scott. I'd run out and buy a lottery ticket if it were me. New bike, all the kids moved out,.... good things run in three's you know.
All 5 of ours are moved out, going on 6 yrs. I think. One came back for a month. I think she only stayed for that long because I put a "Check out time" notice on the back of her door. One month no longer. {she could have stayed as long as she wanted though} We downsized from a 5 bedroom townhouse to a two bedroom one.

I didn't know you had 5. Something to look forward to. Sort of.

It was a blended family Ponch. My second wife has two boys and I have three daughters. My first wife pretty much deserted her daughters. The youngest was about 6 back then. She never really saw them again, except for maybe two or three times after she gave them to me and my second wife {to be at the time} There's a huge story to all that, let me tell you!!

Those Harley riders are tough though so they can take it.

I had one leave and come back a couple of times. Another left and came home with grandkids. That lasted for about 10 months. Now Annie and I are all alone, no kids, no cat, no dog. Just us and a list of honey do's that I don't mind doing now. Kids used to destroy whatever you put in so why bother?

Well, I have 5 and I can tell you it's pandemonium at times! My youngest is 5, oldest is 15, 4 girls and 1 boy and he's the oldest. The 5 year old loves motorcycles.

The nest is almost empty

Son left about 8 years ago. So its been just the wife and I, the cat and the dog.

He is down visiting for a week and thats nice. We only get to see him about 2 or 3 times a year for a day or so at a time. Seems to work for both of us.

More than that and we start having minor differences. I like how he turned out.
