Anyone Ever Use Castrol Power RS Racing 4T Oil
I used mobil 1 also but the last change I used castrol motor cycle full synthectic that I get at Avance auto. They sell both mobil and castrol but the castrol was about a dollar a quart cheaper. I may go the rotella 6 route now but I wanted to make sure the oil I got would work in the wet clutch but now that I see it will I would like to have more frequent oil changes at the same cost

Regardless of what oil I use I always change at every 3,000 miles. Just checked my last years calendar and saw that I changed oil September 4 with just over 11,000 miles on the odometer. I haven't even been a thousand miles yet. I do have four months on the oil though. Probably will change it out when the weather warms up a bit.

Oil changes every 3000 miles are good practice, but with synthetic oil you should be able to stretch it out significantly farther. I know a few fellas that change synthetic oil only once a year regardless of mileage on the bike. I would probably be tempted to change my oil at the end of the season, so there is clean fresh oil sitting in the bike all winter.

I'm not going to tell anyone how to spend their money, but I don't see the benefit of paying double the price of oil just because the label says "motorcycle". If we were talking racing bikes, maybe - but for the conditions under which these bikes are ridden - no way.

Those are my thoughts exactly Scott, Id bet that most of the oil bottled for bikes is exactly the same as oil bottled for cars.

hi :)
I have been using rotella 15-40 in my nomad, like it. Ditto on what Ring said....change oil often, & she will run smooth! Gee I miss ridding...:( Cheers!
