De-baffle Question ............

That makes 3 of us in NH. I forget who it is in Concord and don't know if he is de-baffeled or not. I think Radco is for now, but not for long. He is on the Maine Coast near Wiscasset.

As you see many systems first get de-baffelled, and then end up with another set up.

Any other set up is going to be louder, but with anyother set up and 2 more mods you gain 10% more power and may gain that in MPG's too. A really odd to think of thing to happen, which is giving the engine more fuel, and getting both more power and better MPG's.

There are reasons this is true. On the other hand, your right hand is always hard on the twisted wick you may not see the better MPG's.

Then there still is other things you can do to get more MPG's, and the strangest is crash bar covers, that would appear to eat MPG's but they don't.

The rest is common, like full syn oils in the engine and the finals drive. Tires, tire pressures. Once I was at 46/48 mpg's.

Set up as I am it is more like 40/44 mpgs. A car tire cost me some MPG's, but I can do that just fine.

De-baffle Question ............

I debaffled my 05 and like the sound, deeper and a nice rumble. I had Cobras on my last bike. Too loud for me after a few hours. I gutted the goatbelly. I did not like that sound at all and put the stocker back on. I bought a complete used exhaust for $100 to experiment with.
20,000 kms since debaffling and no engine problems I am aware of.
