Brake problem
Time to change the brake fluid; as it sounds like there is air in the line. The air in the line compresses easier and farther than brake fluid. You should be able to pull the right side bag and take a look at the amount of pad left too.

Brake problem
Thats exactly what Id do as well, Its not hard to change the fluid.

Brake problem
Yeah do that, and make sure the pedal is working in contact with the master, in other words with one finger press the pedal and feel for any slop, which is mechanical. Might just be the piston isn't returning as it should. I have seen that a few times, on other bikes.
