I think I pulled the weight back two or three times on each side and those suckers slipped right out. There was only about a half inch that was being gripped. I rode a hundred miles this afternoon and have to admit it sounds great. Once again, all that offered your help I do appreciate it. I will do a thread and try to show a picture that I took of the baffles. One thing I noticed as Bob (Yellow Jacket) sent a picture in this thread showing his baffle. It looked like his was almost 11 inches long. Could possibly have been 10 1/2 inches. I measured one of my baffles and it was exactly 9 1/2 inches long. They must have shorted them down through the years.
I'm tossing confetti!!!!!! This is the post I knew I was going to see!

Don't worry 'bout the size of your baffle, most of us cut 'em off and throw 'em away anyway.

Da Bull, You mean for cutting oil? it will do, but so will gear oil, but that will be stinky There is real cutting oil and it is as stinky and slimey as gear oil, for just this keeping a hole saw cooler any oil will do. Be sure to cut easy letting the saw do the wrk and when it begine to smpke a lot stop and clear the chips with a brush, the same one you use for oil. I use a cheap paint brush and real cutting oil with lots if sulfer. so it stinks..

Engine oil will do too for these 2 cuttings.

When yer done growel like a cave man and get all puffy fer the wife.. ladies love the stink, they say they don't, but if you know women like I do, that just means they really like it

Assuming you didn't spend 40 bucks for a hole saw go easy and don't let it get too hot.. Steady pressure and cool running, sweepin out them danged chips will leave the saw fit for the 2nd hole.

I don't think my bike got louder but rather deeper, throatier.

Here is what mine sounds like after the debaffle:
