Will the debaffle cause low end torque loss

I noticed when I first did mine I developed a desire to start "QUITING"

Good for you! That's a big improvement. I noticed some pinging the other day, so I have since tweaked my Cobra a little, hoping to get rid of it. I run 89 octane this time of year.

After riding most the summer I finally got some pinging on 87. Very light so I don't think I'm going to mess with it right now.

Hey Scott have you ever messed with your TPS? Ever measured it stock? Just wondering what it was set at straight from the factory?

I have done the debaffle, TFI, and intake mod, and for the first time ever I ran 89 octane the other week. Everything was fine until on the expressway, and when I opened her up going from about 60 to 75 MPH, my bike was pinging like crazy. Played with the pot settings on the TFI and the ping went away, but fuel mileage also went down a little, but not by much.

I did all 3 mods at once, so I didn't notice any loss in torch, actually a huge gain over stock.

+1 on sharing opinions out in the open, that's what we are all here for.

Nope. I haven't done anything with the TPS.

No back pressure loss after debaffling that I could notice. Just a better sound. Debaffled stock mufflers are just what I was looking for, more rumble without the noise of aftermarket pipes.
Go for it !!!

Hadn't noticed any loss of power. Just sounds so much better. Jamie

Will the debaffle cause low end torque loss

I added the TFI a month or so before debaffling my stock 07 Nomad this spring. The TFI made a definite difference in power and torque. My intake is still completely stock and so is the goat belly. They will stay stock. My TFI settings are 3:30-6-1-9. These settings eliminated 99% of my terrible pinging problem. I only get a slight one or two second ping but rarely and it is only on a very hot day running 92 or 93 octane. Most of the time I can't make it ping even testing it to see if it will. My MPG ranges between 32-40. Like most have mentioned I actually get lower MPG when riding solo due to more fun playing and enjoying the power gains.
As for the debaffled stock pipes, I noticed no, nada, zero, difference in power or torque. I really like the sound much better then stock. You won't regret doing it.
