Memorial Weekend May 23-25 2009

I know this is pretty close to the National Rally but what the heck. I am planning to ride all three days of this year's Memorial Day weekend. I was just wondering how many of you might like to join me?

I kind of have a plan in mind...and basically if we have enough interest...it would be to ride the first day to a meeting place, ride the second day as a group...then ride home the third.

My initial plan is as follows, but it is open to suggestion...

Day 1
Ride to and meet in Orofino, ID.

Day 2
Ride Hwy 12 through Lolo Pass to Missoula, MT, grab some lunch, then return to Orofino via same route (350 miles round trip)

Day 3
Ride home

What do you guys think? Any takers? I will probably invite some guys from work...and feel free to do the same....so we could have a good sized group...

Nothing is is stone yet....just kickin the tires. I guess my only concern would be Pass conditions at that time of year. Probably lots of snow on the ground, but the road should be clear.

I will need to pass. This is one of the few long weekends we get to see my college bound daughter. But thanks for asking!

I too have to pass. I'll be conducting a wedding for one of my graduates and his fiancee that Sunday night.

I "might" be interested (I rode Hwy 12 last year) but as you mentioned the passes might not be nice. How about a round robin in Washington?

I have to work saturday and should probably spend the rest of the weekend getting some stuff done around here and at the folks so I can spend a full 2 weeks on the road in June.

I'm afraid I'll have to pass also, three days is a bit too much for the other riding plans I've got this summer. Hwy 12 is a great ride though.
