LIFTER NOISE??

EVERY ONCE IN AWILE WHEN I FIRST START MY BIKE I WILL GET A REALLY LOUD LIFTER NOISE ALMOST LIKE IT IS OUT OF OIL. IT TAKES ABOUT 4-5 MILES TO GO AWAY. THE DEALER TELLS ME THAT IT IS THAT IT IS OIL FOAMING IN THE HLA. RIGHT NOW I AM USING 20/50 FULL SYN . I AM SWITCHING TO A 10/40 SEMI SYN AND SEE IF IT HELPS.

LIFTER NOISE??

This about the 100th time a person has reported this finding, so I think it must just be normal engine noise. the 1600 is loud, syn might help, I changed to it but still noise.

LIFTER NOISE??

When I started my bike this morning it was almost freezing out. The engine made all kinds of noise like you would not believe.....unless you ride a Nomad. I let it warm up for about 3-4 minutes and she purred like a kitten going down the road.
If a Nomad isn't making noise it ain't running correctly!!

LIFTER NOISE??

knocking is common with this girl, everytime i start her. The warmer the weather the less knocking at startup. Either way i let her warm up a few min "3 to4" and i have had no knocking when i have rode off.

Treat her like a lady warm her up first... ;)

Oh Doc, that is just too easy... even I can't take a gimme like that, so I'll just leave it alone and enjoy the visual!

Don't forget the ICS solenoids make a tremendous amount of racket if you still have the stock air intake.

SPORK I HAVE A HYPERCHARGER INTAKE ON MY RIDE. I THINK I GET ALOT OF NOISE OUT OF IT BECAUSE IT IS SO OPEN TO THE INTAKE NOT ALL SEALED UP LIKE STOCK.

My BAK makes noise to. It's just the nature fo the beast with air intake mods that you will hear more noise coming from that area. Also I cant touch that easy one either from docs statment just to easy to make fun of so i too will leave that alone LOLOL.

Doc I dont think it's the solenoids on my bike that make the noise I hear. I think its the butterflys flapping is what I hear on my ride....
