No start- No nuetral light on

My Nomad died on the way back from Daytona in Loxley, Alabama. I stopped for gas and went to get back on the road and then it wouldn't crank. My neutral light wouldn't come on so I guess the switch is bad. I didn't have the book with me for a wiring diagram and could find where I could by-pass the wires on the switch. Battery seems charged. Had good strong lights and horn but it's like the starter button wasn't getting fire. I could jump the terminals on the relay and it would turn the motror over but not crank. I unplugged the starter kill switch on the clutch lever but I couldn't find the switch on the shifter. I guess it's under the side cover but I didn't have tools to pull it off. I thought if you have the side stand up and pull the clutch lever in it by-passed the others to let it crank but it didn't. The dealer thinks it may be the side stand switch. Does anyone know where the wires for it go? Help! (Mines a 2000 1500 carbed Nomad. I just got home and got it off the trailer to start troubleshooting.
Thanks,
Zoom45

I have a 1600 too, and fear it might not be wired the same..

I think I see passing lamps in the picture.. Are these on a relay, or are they wired direct with no relay? I am wondering if you fried the key switch.

You will need a ice pick test light to seek each switch for power.
