...Ok, I'm trying to get my head around the idea of tire size vs engine RPM. When I go to the darkside, I don't want my engine RPM to increase for a given speed as compared to the MT. For instance, if I replace my 160/80-16 with a 195/60-16, will engine RPM increase or decrease for a given speed. Ok you tire guru's, enlighten me!!
Mike

a 195/60/16 will slightly increase your RPM's over a 160/80/16.
You have to have the wider 1600's rim for this to be done I believe as its 1/2" wider and a 1500's rim is a little narrow.

Go to this site. You can enter in both tire sizes and it will compare dimensions and revolutions per mile.

This is the one to get
http://www.tiresbyweb.com/tbw_tiresearch....=1&choice2= All This tire it is just slightly taller by 1/4", so on that note your seat height would be a 1/8" higher. This keeps the rpm's very close to the same as the 160/80-16 MC tire
