October is Our Month

Hey, it just occured to me that this Oct 10th will be the 19th year anniversary for Judy & I.

Sort of. ;)

We've been together for 19 years, but we only finally managed to actually get married 6 years ago. So what this is actually is the anniversary of our third date, which is also the day we decided to shack up.

For 13 years, as it turned out. ::)

When we finally got married (by the Depty Wedding Comissioner of Fresno county) they charged us a $5 counciling fee to help us determine if we were really ready to get married.

After living together for 13 years.

They also charged us a $25 Spousal Abuse Abatement Fee. Who thought that one up? Hereabouts, they just naturally figure you're gonna hit each other, so they charge you for that in advance.

To celebrate our 19 years of (something close to) bliss, we'll be getting drunk at the Comfort Inn in Three Rivers, and waiting for the rest of the Calif. Nomad Hooligans to show up for the run through the Sequoias.
