Well, I usually give weather forecasts more time because it always changes, however, from what I'm seeing, Hurricane Harvey is going to move into my area and dump rain this whole week. It's currently rated as a tropical storm, but by the time it gets to my area will will be a Tropical Depression.

In fact, all the forecasts are putting East Texas higher than 50% chance of rain each day this week until next Sunday. I've learned over the years that that really translates into 100%. They are predicting over 10 inches of rain for my area this week. Hurricane Harvey (or the remnants of Harvey) is predicted to move through East Texas and track into Eastern OK and Western AR.

So, having that said... sadly, I feel I'm pretty well out for the Pre-Rally ride on Talimena this coming Saturday. I'm going to keep an eye on it and make a final decision Wed or Thursday, but I'm not hopeful.

As a side note..... my son and his family are expecting my 8th grandchild due at the end of September. Of course, Kathy and I are planning on heading down to San Antonio when he is born. That could conflict with my plans to attend Antlers. We'll just have to see.

The lastest track doesn't look that great but it could change 5 more times before Saturday. We'll just wait and see now.
