question for electrical gurus

Just purchased and installed the admore lighting kit, tail/brake/turn function. The problem I have is that despite wiring as per the instructions I have the following issue,

Brake light works, get bright when brake applied, good
running lights work fine. good
turn signals work when turned on, amber light, good

the issue is that when I use the turn signal and apply the brake, the turn signal goes bright amber and remains on, when I release the brake, it resumes flashing on low intensity as it should.

I have no idea what the issue is as the wires are connected as they should be. Any thoughts as to what the problem could be?
