Not my brother. He'll probably end up in Florida, but not here. That said, a blizzard might be ok. It would mean a day off work. I could get into that.

The snow melts in the spring and our houses are still here unlike the tornadoes and hurricanes some of you guys put up with.

You can't ride in the winter though. I can ride every damn day. It almost makes it worth it.

It hardly ever rains here, which is why I say I only ride in the rain if I want to, and usually I don't want to. Yes, the summer is miserable, but it was 75° yesterday on the 25th of January, it's hard to beat that. Three months of hell is worth putting up with for 9 months of decent weather and best of all...NO SNOW.

They are expecting 200,000 visitors in town this week for the Super Bowl and Phoenix Open golf tournament. I'm glad I live and work in the SE Valley and don't have to deal with all the traffic and tourists.

Ummm...I see it as 4 months, but ok. I hate the heat, especially humid heat. Florida would be a no go. The things we do for love.

Except when the beemer took a shit, I rode every work day, rain, shine, nuclear war, whatever. I finally got a car assignment though. Where I work, we have to pay for parking and the bike made more sense until I could get a car assignment, otherwise I'd have to park 3/4 of mile from my office with a car. F that. I'd feel like Quai Chang Cain walking across the desert in his bare feet. SO, I anticipate when the hot weather comes, I will switch on and off between the car and bike. The bike could use a break anyway. It's getting too expensive for me.

We can go snowmobiling, skiing, icefishing, and a ton of other stuff here, it gives us a nice variety of activities to do. On the really cold days I stay inside and tinker with my guns until the weather improves.
Just mounted a couple scopes lately.

I lived in Iowa for 9 years. I never got into that stuff. Just not interested in freezing to death outside.

Being a native of Arizona I have a natural disdain for cold. When in the military I spent a year on an island in the Bearing Sea, two winters in Germany and finally a winter in North Dakota. I couldn't get out of ND fast enough!
Gotta agree tho, the summers here are getting rough to take. Me and the wife are talking about finding some affordable place up north to escape too in in the summer months.

Someplace around Happy Jack or Hannigan Meadows. Even Flagstaff.

Flagstaff is nice but it's hell getting around there. Traffic is nasty, especially during summer when half of the valley is up there.

There is NO FREAKIN WAY I would move to the SW. I am about done when it is 90 degrees and prefer it between 60 and 70 degrees.
The SW is a nice place to visit in January but I wouldn't want to live there.
