After the National Rally

Anyone interested in heading to the Black Hills after Estes Park for a few days riding? I am toying with the idea because I do not have to be back to work until July 8th.

I'm planning on going up that direct before the rally. I'm planning on riding from Saturday before to the Sunday after.

You won't be sorry you did. The Black Hills are amazing. Lots to see and lots of great roads.

I guess seeing Mt. Rushmore would be like looking at your high school yearbook, eh?

Hmmm, this sounds tempting, would make the ride home much more enjoyable. I've been to that area a few times—great roads.

Sounds like fun. But I'm toying with the idea to head west over the mountains to Utah, south to AZ, then east to NM, TX, OK, KS and back up to Iowa. I've been wanting to ride in these states to complete that part of the U.S. I haven't traveled with my bike yet. We'll see what happens!

Be prepared for heat if you'll be riding in AZ during the day, especially if you come into the valley of the sun.
