once you go black . . .

I forget the rest of that saying, but here's an update on my black-out process with the Vaquero.

Recently added:
Black LED headlight
Carbon-Fiber hydrographic films on the "valve covers", tank trim, headlight trim, and tail light trim.

Lots of powder coating planned for the crash bars, heat shields floor boards, and more, and paint for the saddle bag handles. But I'd better give my wallet a break for a few months!!!!!!

Looks great.

When I was returning from the NW Canada Rally I saw a nice blacked out VV on HWY 1 (Trans Canada Hwy). Unique and nice look.

Pipes were blacked out too. Sweet

I'm not sure. I don't want to over do the carbon. I was thinking black, but still debating gloss or matted.

You need some contrast. I've seen a fair share of ALL black Harleys and they looked (to me) like doodoo. You either need some chrome or some other color to break things up a bit. Of course, it's your bike and you should do what YOU like, but unless you want everyone else to think you've over done it, break it up a bit.

I like the black bikes. I'm doing gloss as much as I can though. -All black bikes look good to enough people that they keep making them, and making more black parts available. Don't know what to tell ya. You hit the nail on the head though, to each his own.

This is how I accent my bike

Jay, you're doing a great job. It took a second glance at the first picture to notice there was a bike in it. I mean, that graffiti is artwork in itself. Oh, I saw the graffiti in the second glance too.

Great job on the bike!! You make me really jealous, though.

Did you see what Roger from 2nd Chance Customs did to his rear turn signals? He removed them and raised the plate to cover the holes...This might be something to consider...

that looks nice and has me thinking of doing the same. Are those strip LED lights I see down low between the bags and fender?
