Vicksburg

I know that a month or so ago ,Trip and I talked about a Vicksburg ride in October. I am still up for a ride to V'burg, but October just won't work for me. Anybody up for a November rendezvous ? Jim, Bobby, Jamie, Mitch, what do you guys think ?

New life to an old thread. Rode the Mil Park many times as a youngster on my first scoot. Always a special way to spend the day especially with good friends to ride with and best with an attractive lady in the saddle behind you!!
Looking forward to my next visit to the Mil Park on my new scoot. Y'all come!

Good riding in that area. We have also done a ride down the Natchez Trace to Natchez and Port Gibson and we had planned one going north on the Trace but never made that one as a group.

My brother and I took a short ride on the Natchez Trace last Sunday afternoon down Port Gibson way. He on his 2010 HD Ultra Classic and me on the Vaquero. We used to ride the Trace as teenagers. Brought back fond memories! Stopped at Rocky Springs. Took a couple pics for next album. Deer in herds along the trace provided an interesting element to the scenery. My loud V&H slip on exhaust proved to be an affective deer anti-collision aid at least on this trip. Also made a stop at Grand Gulf State Park off Hwy 61 north of Port Gibson. What a great way to spend an afternoon!!

I have ridden to Nashville on the Trace several times. Great ride just slow. It's a lot better scenery once you get north of Tupelo. My wife Vickie has even ridden her Ninja up there on the last trip we made.
I usually make these stops for gas since my old Nomad has the smaller tank - I fill up at Clinton, Kosciusko, Tupelo, Collinwood, TN and then Franklin, TN.
