Tucson, poker run, Nomad sightings

Sunday was a great day to ride in Tucson, sunny and 80 degrees, perfect.

It was also the 6th annual Old Pueblo Riders Club annual "Ride for the kids" poker run. This event helps raise money for the Arizona school for the deaf and blind. It is an awesome cause by an awesome group of riders giving some time back to the community, helping those with special needs. This was my first time on this ride, but I will make it every year from now on.

I rode with one of our own, Cougar, who also is a local Tucsonan. We had a great ride through Saguaro National Park and through the Tucson Metro area. At the last stop, I met two other Nomad riders and introduced myself as well as this forum. Dallas has an '06 silver and blue, while Mike was riding a green and silver, also an '06 (I think). My wife told me she thought the green was a beautiful color on the Nomad, and I quickly asked if she still wanted a ride home on our own beauty.

Mike was asking about pinging issues, and I told him to check out the forum as most issues that he might have are well discussed here.

I can't believe there were 4 Nomads at the ride at the same time!

The great cause Poker Runs are always a thrill. We have them down here with stops surrounding Lake Verret at the boat launches. Participants are in boats, bikes, and cars.
