Grips?

What grips have you installed aftermarket? I’m torn between a few from Kyriakin? Definitely interested in the isogrips or something that will help decrease vibration, especially with installed aftermarket bars.

Barend weights will reduce vibration.

Greetings VaqueroVader,

Have had four different Kuryakyn grips over the years. The ISO's are fatter in diameter than stock grips. However, they are like a$$h0le$, everyone has them.

The Flame grips look good, are slightly larger in diameter than stock. However, didn't like hanging on to them. Somehow the pattern was never in the right place under my hand to be/get comfortable.

The Transformers are probably the largest in diameter and IMHO the most pillowey (If there is such a word). These are my second choice. Have had three sets of these on various bikes over the years.

The Kinetic's are my favorite. Only slightly larger than stock. Firm and the grip pattern is comfortable to grip for extended periods.

To reduce vibration, any of the Kuryakyn grips which have the four bolt end caps can accept the Kuryakyn weighted ends. These bar ends add weight and help reduce vibration. Bar end weights are available in both chrome and black. Momma got a set of Transformers with weight ends for Christmas!

Hope that helped.
Ride safe,

Smokier

I use the Avon's on everything.

They, to me, are more comfortable and after a couple of yours the black doesn't come off on your hands like the Kury's.

And yet my Avons had the black come off on my hands. I did like them on my last bike. I may go Kurys this time since I like the oblong shape of the ? kinetics? . If I get the black rubber on my hands anyway ,why not.

I also like the look of the kinetics. I’ve got a gift card for one of the bike shops, and they don’t offer Avon grips... so it looks like I’ll be getting kinetics. I really appreciate all of the input!

If you wear gloves you won't get black on your hands.

+1 for Avon. I used to use Kuryakyn until I found Avon grips. Much better.

I had the ISO grips on my Mean Streak. Really liked them, but went with the slightly smaller diameter Kinetics on the Vaquero. Definitely easier to grip than the ISOs, but got black on my fingers/hands from day one. May try Avons next.
