This is the local biker hangout, there is a ride every Thursday evening during riding season. Don't ask how I know about the crawling distance thing!

Wasn't St Paul where they were going to give bank robbers and bootleggers asylum from the law? I'll bet a few savory characters have been on the second floor.

You are correct, in the 1930's Big Tim Brown was the St. Paul Chief of Police. He was notoriously corrupt, looking the other way as many gangsters of the era hid-out in and around St. Paul. Back then there was a trolley that ran from Downtown St. Paul to Downtown North St. Paul, about 10 miles, which made it easy to hang out at Neumann's.

There are always a lot of bikes parked in front of the place, even on the nice days during the winter. A couple of smart entrepreneurs even started a Custom Motorcycle Shop (Full Throttle) next door.

It is illegal to sell a vehicle to someone intoxicated in Illinois.

Not sure that bike shop sells bikes though...
