WHO TOOK my DONUT?

When Waterman hit the railroad tracks today and a piece flew out from his bike, with me following, I thought it might be that donut, not yours of course but his. All I could see is what looked like this fairly large rubber piece bouncing down the road as I zoomed by. See his trip report to find out what it was.

WHO TOOK my DONUT?

The Gremlins stole one of my donuts about 2 1/2 years ago. I got a new one from kawi, went by the local auto paint supply store and got a tube of "weather strip adhesive" and glued all 4 into place. Haven't had a problem since.

The weather strip glue works GREAT. Take out all your donuts and clean where they go good, Put the glue on the brackets, wad up the donuts and put them where they go, and quickly install your bags. After 30 - 40 minutes, you will really have to make an effot to get them off again. I guess the gremlins tried mine again and could't, so they moved to yours? .................... Sorry about that

WHO TOOK my DONUT?

I've lost a couple. siliconed the remaining ones in place, and took a piece of 1/4"ID rubber hose, sliced it longways, cut to length, and slipped it in place, and siliconed it.
works just as well, and was free!!(already had some vacuum hose laying around)

WHO TOOK my DONUT?

They got my donut too! I had to remove my bags to install the travel trunk I just got and one of my donuts was gone, but someone left crumbs and a coffee ring in the saddlebag to boot.
