Yep, just click on the 'report this post' link if/when you see spam, and we'll get to it eventually.

Lower left corner of each post. Red and white triangle with the exclamation mark in it.

that's because we let anyone join without checking on them. There are websites that have you do a simply "apply" by supplying an email and a brief intro about yourself. Then after review you get in or not.

We could do this as it's not like we have hundreds of new members joining everyday...

Thanks Chris ,....I must be blind.

I agree whole heartedly Brad,....but there are a lot {by my standards} joining. I think it was last week we had over 10 "new members".
I have to agree also with TC I think, that said the new guys just keep asking the same questions over and over again.
I think the search engine works pretty good on this site compared to the old KawaNOW site.

Personally I miss the banter between the old guys/members.Where is Todd, and some of the others that use to be here?

Life is good Ricky. Thanks for asking. Anytime you wake up on this side of the dirt, it's going to be a great day. How about yourself?

I don't think I've seen a lot of spam, I think we should wait to see what the future
brings before we make requirements of the new membership.

As far as the new members asking the same old questions, I don't see that as a
problem. I think that this site has a lot of knowledge to share.

Maybe the guys with a problem of the same old questions being asked, could make
a better directory for the new guys to try, before asking on the site.

The political pages have been pasteurized, rarely a big debate anymore.

Jokes, I love jokes, new ones and old ones.
I need a laugh every day. If you don't like them, don't read them.
I mark my humor posts with a smilie, not hard to avoid.
There are some members who like them, and have sent PM's to
encourage me not to stop. We might be a minority, but that shouldn't
be a problem.

This site was created for every one to enjoy. The membership is
growing because of the stuff you seem to be complaining about.

The future always brings changes. We need to be more tolerant
of others, we are not all from the same mold.

If I'm wrong, please let me know, I can take the critisim.
Really........

Well said Loafer.

Spam is just a way of life now on the 'net, especially on busy, active forums. All forums get it. I can say though, we have a lot of methods installed on this forum to fight it, and they seem to be working just fine. If there has been a lot of spam, I sure haven't been notified about it but only a couple times.

As far as jokes...well, that's why we have different forums. If you don't want to read jokes, or any other subjects of posts, simply don't enter that forum. It's really that simple. Some people may love them. It's YOUR choice.

New members asking repetitive questions...that's always been, and always will be, a problem on forums. I personally don't have a huge problem with it, because it keeps a forum active. Believe me, I've been a part of forums that have completely died off after being very active, because of senior members scaring off new posters....it's not something you want to see or be a part of. At that point, you'd do anything to get some newbies posting. They should search before posting (just makes it easier and faster for them, since that's what a forum is...a huge, searchable database of info), but a lot won't. We just have to live with it. ;)
