I think they knew when this country started it would come to this.

The video says that 80% wanted all these freebies from government, while the other 20% want the government to get the hell out of their lives.

I'd say those percentages are a fair example of the US people as a whole, not just college students.

Maybe "as a whole" of the college population. When they get out and get jobs and see the amount of taxes they're paying, especially in high paying jobs, they'll realize just how sophomoric their opinions were...hopefully.

Yep, they tried to word the Constitution to insure it wouldnt... but after decades of lawyers being in office, its being white washed into something it wasnt intended to be.

I saw a joke once showed the founders standing around and one of them was leaning over and talking to another with the caption "I cant help but think we should put some kind of clause in to prevent them from electing a moron" Posted it in jokes area.


As far as the 80% thinking we need a nanny state, thats the propaganda the left wing media and politicians wish were true and continue spouting constantly.
I meet a lot of people during my day and I cant find that many people that actually think that way or agree that Bom Bom and the current direction of the country is a good thing.... but for those that do believe "socialism" is the answer to their prayres....let them go spend a year or so in any other country that has those rules and see how it works and how it "Really" is. They will be begging to come back.
