looking for seat!

I use to think my seat was pretty comfy till i rode my buddy's bike and well as the heading states i "NEED A NEW SEAT" and trust me it is not a want but a need!!! So i told the wife. Would really love a extreme cause that is what he has he said he first tried the mustang and returned it cause he did not like it. Hoping someone here has upgraded to a newer nomad and has one for sale to fit my '03 fi.

Some guys love the Mustang seats and others don't notice that much difference. What brand do you have in mind?

I don't have any experience with the Mustang seat, I have a Corbin Dual Tour and can't speak highly enough about it.
I have an '04 Nomad and when I first got the bike I thought the stock seat would be ok. Right away my wife found that the back seat set her right on her tail bone, it was bad.
Within 2 weeks we were at the Corbin factory in Holister CA. getting the seat fitted right to us. Fortunately we live only about 2-3 hours away, it was however a looong 2-3 hour ride to get there. It is pricey, $750.00 for the seat and matching back rest pad, but worth every dime. Our highest mileage day has been 520 miles and we could still walk when we got home.
That seat and changing the bars made a great bike perfect.
Good luck.

There is no point in having a bike capable of going from coast ot coast that you can only ride for 2 hours because of the seat. $750 is pricey but if it allows you to enjoy the Nomad for hours on end (excuse the pun) then to me it is worth it.

i was looking into a ultimate and i also found on line a seat called "saddlemen exporer" seems priced right at 400$ but up here in canada i have not found anybody with this type of seat. Buddy of mine had a mustang and returned it bought the ultimate and loves it but he rides a honda vtx so hard to compare apples to oranges!

If you did 1500 miles with it in 6 days and it worked good, why are you selling it?

If you do not got with either a Russell Day Long or an Ultimate, which are probably the better ones, the mustang follows, then you might consider having the factory seat recut and stuffed with memory foam. Thats what I did, and it was a difference llike day nad night. Add a good quality backrest and you have an unbeatable combo.

I have 3 seats for mine. Stock, stock reworked by mean city cycles, and the ultimate. All depends on what you want to spend. The ultimate is most definately the best of the 3.

Russell Day Long with backrest on my '07. I've done 638 miles and 626 each in one day. No problem with the rear end but I'll admit I was exhausted both days.
