I use to live in Houston and I don't miss riding there at all. When I was there I noticed a lot of accidents involving riders getting hit from behind while stopped at a traffic light. Alcohol was usually involved.

Bike accidents seem to be very popular this season.

I have ridden all over the south and my trip to Houston in April 2011 was one of the most frightening experience of my life.

sucks to have 4 million neighbors, most of which want to be on the freeways with you at all hours of the day and night in spite of the fact that not 10% of them can drive worth a damn. That is one reason that when I retire it wont be here where I grew up. Too many Kamikazi Cagers.

We as riders have got to be vigilant at all times. I have been fortunate and hope it remains that way.
