tachometer installation

I just ordered the Kawasaki tachometer for my 2006 Nomad. Anybody installed one of these before? Anything I need to watch out for? Thanks ahead of time for your help. :)

I wimped out and had the dealer install mine. I think they charged me for an hour. I enjoy working on my bike, but don't know the electrical stuff very well.

Thanks. I'll try it myself. Not crazy about my local dealer mechanic, charged me for a lot more time than I thought it should take a professional last time to replace a valve stem. So, glad to hear that this is not too hard.

tachometer installation

I installed mine. Used the coil on the left side. It was easier to get to without taking the tank off. I just pulled the coil wire off, pushed the boot back, pushed in the green wire, did a quick solder job, pushed the boot back and plugged back on. Connect the other wires and you are in business. A tach does come in handy.
