July in MN & WI

Went for a ride last Saturday in southeastern MN and western WI. Left home at 8:30 and the temperature was 53 degrees with a partly cloudy sky. Stopped in Nelson, WI for lunch and it was 58 degrees, with a very light drizzle starting. After lunch we headed southeast and it started to rain a little harder and the temp started to drop. After an hour and a half of riding in the cold rain I threw in the towel and headed for home. Riding the twisties when it is cold and rainy just isn't as fun as it sounds. Took me 2 hours to get home and I was very happy to get a hot shower and dry clothes. In all I put on about 300 miles and the Vic was thoroughly dirty. Gotta love July in MN, temps in the 50s.

Amazing how good 50 degrees will feel in April though!

I didn't ride far that day either, just some running around the area and stayed close to home. Didn't get rained on though...
