yes i have moved mine both down and forwad by placing an 1/2" x 1" 4.5" pice of polished aluminum on the stock mounting boltsthen remounting the the footb oard to it . this will lower the rest and move it forward. more down than forward though.

Yrs ago somebody on here was making a bracket that would angle the floor board upward at the toe and I think lower it a little. He was selling them at one time.

I made some like David Parsons. My significant pillion loves the extra room, and being able to brace herself against hard braking.

I bought some of Davids and the wife loves them. Came with stainless steel bolts/hardware to boot. He still has a few sets left. I would recommend buying his if you're not able to make them.
