low miles 99 vulcan-nomad 1500cc 3500 firm - $3500

Just being nosey this morning and found what might be a steal for someone, depending on the repair needed. The miles are right, though. Just thought I would share.

Seems like several '99s for sale lately. He said it runs great but needs a clutch. It may run great but I bet shifting is a trick.

More than likely that it just needs a spring.

That and the JOG. Probably still has the original plastic oil gear.

Your probably right Joel, and the bike supposedly has only 10k on it. I wonder if its on its second time around?

Does the odometer on the 99 only go to 99,999?

I don't know if it does on a Nomad, but my pals Harley is on its second time around. I'll find out next summer when I'll be turning over a 100k

Stupid digital odometers. I'll never get my 1600 back to 0.

Basically the same engine Ponch, he had the top end rebuilt a couple seasons ago, and a new clutch installed. He rides it a lot, it does use a bit of oil between changes but thats about it.
Its a 97 Ultra and overall has been a really good bike.

It rolls over at 100,000. I got 40K left to get to that point. Hoping for a big year this year and get the picture before December 31!

I can believe it. I know we give all other brands a hard time, but any modern motorcycle, that has been maintained should last 100K+ miles.

Some don't. I doubt a Ural would and the V2K has been known to burn oil fairly early in the game (I have an acquaintance that got his pistons replaced at 30K and another that started burn at 60K. and by burn I mean a quart in less than 1000 miles). I have to wonder if that had anything to do with killing it. Big bore, long stroke, high piston speeds.
