Winterized My Nomad

With the cold snap this weekend it was time to winterize.

I put the crash bar chaps and the hand deflectors on.

It's time to ride all winter.

I'll be putting mine on this evening, crash bar chaps and hand deflectors that is. Should feel good in the morning on the way to work, low around 38 tonight.

Put my windshield back on this weekend. Put on the Lowers and bar chaps this morning, 28 degrees when I left for work. Amazing difference the bar chaps make. No problem with the cold at all.

I'm too lazy to take my hand deflectors off they stay on year round. But I'm getting ready to order some engine guard chaps (which I've never had on any bike). Winter may be coming but I'm good down to about 35 F or there's snow on the ground. BTW can anyone recommend some good engine guard chaps? How much of a difference are they gonna make? Thanks.

IMHO Airlite chaps are the best. https://www.airlite.ca/

With a set of oversized lower air deflectors like Chucksters you are really protected.

Also if you ever get caught inthe rain put them on they keep you pretty dry. I carry them in the saddlebag year around.

At those temps you are probably still riding in your thong and assless chaps.

Glad to have put that image in your mind. However, I'm sure that you have seen plenty of that living in California.

Ok, I have that image out of my memory. However, I would definately crash seeing this in person.
