Talimena Rally tentative itinerary **UPDATED**

Here is a first draft of the activities, let me know what you all think.

Thursday:
Head north out of Antlers on Hwy 2 to Clayton, side trip to Sardis lake and ride across the dam. Continue north on 2 to Yanush turn east on Hwy 1 to Talihina continue east onto Talimena drive, multiple stops for pictures. Eat lunch at Queen Wilhemina Lodge, continue east to Mena AR, head west out of Mena on the valley road to Hwy 259 south to Broken Bow to Hwy 3 west to Antlers. Appx 230mls, then group dinner and social time.

Friday:
We will make a trip to the new casino in Grant OK, or if some are not interested, it can be a free day or small side trips. That evening we will have the Barbeque, consisting of pulled pork, sliced brisket and all the fixins with plenty of appetizers and various libations. The barbeque may be replaced by lets say a more "world class" cuisine if I can aquire the proper facility, a definite treat!!

Saturday:
We will head north out of Antlers on 271 to Nashoba to 144 east to Octavia to 259 north across Three Sticks and the Stair steps to 59/270 north to Heavener OK to visit the Runestone where Vikings claimed land back in 600-900 AD. We will then head south on 59/270 to 259 to Talimena Drive (1/2 way point) and take the drive west to Talihina. We will then take the Indian Trail to Honobia to 144 west to 271 back to Antlers. Appx 210 mls. We will then have a group dinner, and then socialize

The 9th annual Antlers Deer Festival and Outdoor show will be going on Friday and Saturday Directly Across from our motel, it features vendors, contests, live music and exhibits for anyone that is interested

Hmmm...."libations".... here's the definition for it:

A libation (Ã“Ã°Ã¯Ã*Ã¤Ãž spondee in Greek) is a ritual pouring of a drink as an offering to a god. It was common in the religions of antiquity, including Judaism.

Does this mean we'll be dumping ice water on Vic again???
