Hunkering Down

Man guys, you are getting slammed! I just wanted to tell you that Kari and I are thinking about you, and will be doing more so on Monday. Kari, the kids and I will be heading up to see Grandpa and Grandma next week and hope that road conditions are better then than they are now.

Sounds like the weather calls for putting a pot of chili on the stove, brewing some coffee and pulling the family in close.
Sometimes, it makes for the perfect evening, yanno? :)

Okay...I'm officially sick of the snow and ice. I am the Street/Storm Division Foreman for a local municipality up here and I am getting tired of scheduling 24 hr. crews. The overtime is great and is piling up....but it gets old working 16 hr shifts!

At least I started my bike today and let'er run a bit. Also tinkered with it adding a run-turn-brake kit to the rear lights....but it was 20 degrees in the garage. My wife thought I was nuts. I think maybe she was right....

Hey.....anyone heard from schoeney lately? It's not like him to be quite for so long....

Haven't heard from him recently. But, I concur with hyour assessment on the weather. It was 16 here in Lake Stevens this morning. I've got about a foot of the white stuff on the ground and it is still snowing. Tell me again why I like this place....

...because soon you'll be complaining about the rain. Keep hanging in there. I'll try to call Greg and find out if he's alright.

Has anyone heard from Bob (landman)?

Winter has settled in here in Idaho. Another storm in offing this evening. I will probably have to blow out the driveway in the morning so that we can get to the street. S'okay, I would rather be here than anywhere else in the US. Enduring winter makes spring all the sweeter.

Bob and Bud,
I hope you have a safe and merry Christmas. Same thing for all the rest of you to. John and Kris, I'll be praying for y'all to thaw out. I called the number I have for Greg, but had to leave a voice mail. I'll call again tomorrow and leave my own number as well. Pray for us as we drive up to Vancouver, WA for Christmas. And everyone stay in touch!!!

Schoeney is alive and well... :). I spoke with him today and he is up in my neck of the woods at his daughters place in Bellingham. She recentky had knee surgery and is experiencing some complications of some sort, so he is there helping out. He has no computer access there but will be home soon and will jump back into the mix as soon as he does. Just thought I'd share...

I believe that "pot" and 'crab' has different meanings in Arizona than what you are used to.

We may have to put up with a little bit of winter in the northern lattitudes but at least we rarely have to deal with blast furnace weather for most of the year.

Bass fishing and elk hunting down here. You might be able to catch some scorpions and javelinas.
