My Canadian Quickie

1787 miles
4 days
Cabot Trail
Sunrise Trail
Hopewell Cape
Deer Island
Campobello Island
2 ferries
1 close call with a Black bear
1 Menke whale
Porpoises
and some seals

Probably more pics than you will want to look at, but what the hey!

I thought the 'quickie' may have been with the bear - it would have to be!

Looks like a beautiful ride to take. Hopefully I'll get enough work finally completed to make some of those trips while I can still hold the bike up!

The quickie with the bear was when it came out of the woods and ran across the road in front of me. Luckily I saw it was coming out, though I was thinking it was going to be a moose!

I hear ya, we ain't gettin' any younger! One of the reasons I wanted to get up there this year.

Got a taste of what NS and NB have to offer, would like to go back sometime when I can do some exploring off the beaten path!

I was expecting to see some moose, but never did. Everyone kept warning me to watch out for them.

Looks like you had a nice ride. The wife and I had a close call with a moose up here in Harcourt, Ontario earlier this summer. The only reason we didn't get creamed was because where the moose came out of the bush there was a guard rail between us and he made a right turn and followed the guard rail for a bit before turning back into the bush. We had underwear to clean out when we got home I'll tell you.

Nice trip.

I thought this was a quick trip. My idea of a quickie is down to the Lobster Pot in Plymouth or Iggy's in Narragansett or any other day ride.

Been there before! Thank god for that guard rail do not want to think about the results of a collision with a moose and a bike.

This was originally supposed to be part of a 2.5 week trip that was cancelled, I guess that's why the four day trip seemed like a quickie.

If I got 4 days away from home it would feel like a 2 week vacation.
