Nuther new mod

Got this from Thunder Mfg. about two years ago. While I had my bike apart for paint I finally got it installed. Its Harley style so you don't have to have keys hanging around. Luvin it ! ! !

p.s. sorry about the picture size... resized it on Pbucket but it doesn't seem to work no matter what size I choose. Go look at it there and it comes up small ? ? ? ? ??? ???

On the PITA scale, where do you rate the install?

Well... it wasn't the worst job ever but it wasn't the easiest. Keep in mind though... I have been a do-it-yourselfer since I could walk so I do ALL my stuff. I always rank any wiring jobs high PITA. I think if a person has patience it helps. I have little... if at all. From 1 to 10 I would say 6.

Important note: This thing does not bolt up flat. You need at LEAST one spacer to make it right. I used two... of different lengths of course because I thought that distance was what looked right. When I bought this thing it did not come with spacers AT ALL. I made my own. They mention spacers if you look at the instructions on-line. It is possible they include them now but I dunno.

The general idea:
1) Primer
2) Silver
3) Put fishnet panty hose on (the bike)
4) Black (reduce air pressure... don't want it to blow under the net)
5 Take panty hose off (the bike also)
6) Color (what I used is basically a pearl. it allows the silver to show through. You could use a regular color and it will show through but it is much more faint.)
7) Clear
8) clear
9) Sand
10) clear
11) sand
12) buff
13) drink a few beers
14) Enjoy
