No Nomads in da house!

I dropped my bike off at the dealer tonight for an oil change. While I was waiting for my son to get off work and come pick me up at the dealer, I was wandering around the showroom. I noticed they had no Nomads on the floor. They had a few V2K's, including a new '07 for $9999. They had Classics and Vulcan 900's, but no Nomads. I asked a couple of employees if they knew when the 1700's would be in (I figured I'd ask more than one person and average the answer). They both said "by the end of March". They also expect them to sell quickly.

Hi Valdez. Met you and your wife at the VROC rally in Oregon last summer. Never did catch your wifes name and we never introduced ourselves. We have the Nomads with all the leather on them and I'm CycleCat and Brian is my husband. Was nice to meet you, enjoyed the conversations, and hope to catch up to both of sometime in the future.

Of course I remember you! How could anyone forget that Ruby Red Nomad with that Firery Red Hair, and all that Red Leather. Brian and Cat have two beautiful Nomads.

I can't seem to get an image to work here so check this out for a peek at a show bike....

Brian's bike is equally beautiful in a little more subtle way, but Cat's takes the show :)

We won't make Oregon this year, but will be in Monarch Utah over the 4th of July weekend (week). Drop me an email and I'll give you the details - rlfaubion@gmail.com

Say howdy to Brian, and it sure is fun seeing you here!

It's not your dial-up. It didn't work for me, either. Bad link.

That's way out East of Salt Lake by Moon Lake, if I recall. Used to camp and fish in that area.

So why aren't you doing your own oil changes, since you got all that nice pretty weather there???

No Nomads in da house!

That's an excellent question, Dave. It's because when I bought my Nomad I also bought a 3-year, 36,000 mile service plan. All my scheduled maintenance is already paid for. I can change my own oil, no problem, but since I've already paid for the service, I use the dealer.

It's something I will never do again. Not that I don't get my money's worth, but because it is a PITA to drop the bike at the dealer for service. I usually drop it off in the evening and pick it up the following day after work. It's a hassle bumming a ride home after dropping the bike off and then I have to arrange to get back down there to pick it up. The dealer doesn't open before I have to be at work and they aren't open very late or on Sundays and Mondays. It just is a question of convenience.
