Big change this morning

Sunday afternoon we had a high temp of 81 degrees. Took my afternoon ride in a tee shirt and blue jean jacket.

This morning I awoke to 39 degrees with a 5 to 10 mph wind. Yes, I turned on the furnace. This kind of weather will cause the squirrels to speed up gathering nuts and make the turkey buzzards thinking about flying south.

It is forecast to snow here on Thursday. I can't wait. Alergies are killing me and a hard freeze will cure that problem real quick. I'm sure that I will be on the bike on Friday though.

91 degrees here yesterday afternoon and 61 this morning. A front came through during the night and another will be here this weekend, supposedly stronger than this one. It's a welcomed event over here. I've been watching the weather in Custer and it's now in the lower 30's in the morning and 50's during the day. Calling for snow on Thursday.

When I left Phoenix it was 103. Right now it's 52 degrees in Brisbane, CA where I'm staying. This is like January in Phoenix. I had to go buy a sweatshirt last night because I couldn't get warm. I'm about 100 yards from Oyster Point on SF Bay and the wind is coming in off the water.

I know, boo hoo....poor CJ.

Isn't the fall season great. I went and bought a snow plow for my newer to me truck yesterday. The good news is I will not have to snowblow so much this year. The bad news is I have to put the bike away in a month or so :(

If you and your bike went to Florida for the winters you have 100,000 miles on your 07. 40,000 on a 07 that must be some kind of an Iron butt award.

Big change this morning

Got down in the upper 40s here in north Alabama last night and expected to do it again tonight. The days are great for riding. In the mid to upper 70s. I rode to get the daily paper this morning and put on blue jeans. I normally make that short trip in shorts and a tee.

Let it freeze. My alergies will be gone.

When it gets 52 degrees around here we put on sun-screen lotion and get out the sunglasses -- and hope it lasts through the weekend so we can have a picnic!!!! ;)

You know I'm retired Fish , so I can ride anytime. Cindy wants to ride anytime she is not working. I tell her it is a good thing she isn't retired or we would have to buy new bikes every other year She bought her bike in June of '08 and has 26,000 miles on it now.
