I didn't listen to the whole video but I take it that the ticket was for COVID violation and not for taking the bike on an environmentally sensitive area of the beach. At the moment, most public areas of Ontario are closed so he probably should not have been surprised that he was someplace that he shouldn't have been.

Boo hoo! The cops delayed him for 45 minutes and he had to ride "a considerable distance" home in the dark! Not much of a biker if that is an issue, IMHO.

Edited: I went back and listened to more of the video. Looks like this incident was back last June.

It was June 2020 and the beach was not closed. That area of the beach is a parking lot during the summer.

Boo hoo, not much of a biker ?

Some bikes have terrible lighting. My last bike was a perfect example.
I always made sure I was home before dark.

Not the video I saw this morning. The one this morning at 4:30 central time was a man in the UK talking about citizens effected by the pandemic going homeless and immigrates coming in every day getting housing and government food.

I think over zealous parking enforcement has been around for as long as they figured out they can make money from it and that is never going to change.

I learned that when they ask you for id, most times your going to get a ticket. Now I always ask them why they want to see it, and ask if I'm going to get a ticket.
