macmac has been busy
Bill's mom had a bad fall a few weeks ago, and they have been busy with her going into
a nursing home and seeing to her belongings. Everything is good with them.

Was wondering why he has not been around much. We are thinking of him.

That's good news. Falls are serious business, glad to hear things are working out.

Thanks for the update Loafer. That time comes in our lives when it's our turn to look after our parents and it sneaks up on you when you least expect it. I wish Mac all the best and the Lord's guidance at this point of his family's life, understanding Mac sees this as a labor of love, still yet, it's an ever present thought on your mind.
If he takes care of Mama like he takes care of us she's in good hands.

They are a private couple, so I won't say more then they have told me I could. They appreciate all the thoughts and prayers during this time.

We understand. Nobody wants to put out, let alone talk about all the details. Few people do, and thats OK too. Let him know a lot of us have been in his situation and he can bend our ear anytime.

I was responsible for my mom for about 10 years, and then had some of my own health issues.
I know what every one has, or is, or will be facing with an aging parent, much luck to all of you. Just do the right things and you will feel great for it, when it is over.

In my situation sister and I were dealing with our mama, diagnosed with COPD, wishing to stay in here home until her final days. Me living two states away with kids in grammar school, and sister living a hundred mile from mama made things difficult. Those were a trying two years, but we felt the effort was worth it to get mama to live a little longer. Even after all of that you still carry a little guilt, second guessing yourself, thinking maybe you could have done this or that. The other thing I glad for is being there to support people I work with when this situation befalls them.
