1500 Windshield mounting to 1600

First of all thanks to Bud2rat for the windshield - .

What is the easiest way to adapt the brackets on an '01 1500 stock windshield to fit on a '07 1600?

Never mind...

I already elongated the existing holes and made it work. This will be my "Short (Summer) setup". I cut off a good 3" and have it lowered all the way, so it is a good bit lower than I run my "Tall setup". Not bad for a days work.

Modified the brackets, cut the windshield down, cleaned them up real good, painted the lower half with Fusion, added a bag and added the split rubber edging. May cut it down more in the future, we'll see.

Didn't really have a chance to test out the shorter windshield setup until today. Heat was at over 100, but came down to lower 90s, so I took it out for a spin.

The top of the shield is set at just under chin level. What a great difference it made. Got plenty of air through my helmet and jacket this time.

Wore my full-face helmet, but removed the shield and used sunglasses instead.

Very handy. Easy to switch one setup for the other in just a few minutes.
