Hello from Walworth, NY!
I just picked up a 2001 Kawasaki Nomad 1500 from forum member Erock1. Very nice bike and I'm certainly thankful on Thanksgiving that it worked out.
I've owned a few bikes (1984 Honda Nighthawk, 1983 Honda V65 Magna, 2003 SV650S. I work as a Mechanical Designer/CAD administrator by day and Pastor to a small Deaf congregation within my church. (My wife Nikki and I also serve as sign language interpreters) We have three boys (14, 11 and 4 years old) who ride mini bikes. My dad (Gerry Martineau - aka Loafer) is also a member here. I hope you are all enjoying your Turkey day and getting a chance to ride. Up here my "new" Nomad is getting ready for a little winter nap. Todd Martineau

Yeah, when I sold the SV my 14 year old was noticing he was big enough at 5' 8" to ride it. It's probably good that I got rid of it before he adopted it.
We have three of those little Baja mini bikes from Pep Boys that we bought off Craigslist. Those things are a hoot. Hardest part is finding a good place to ride them near Rochester, NY area. |
