On the couch for another week

Got back from the Wound Clinic in Columbia, MO. Liz is not happy! The ulcer on her leg is not healing very well so the doctor put the soft cast back on her leg and told her to stay off of it for another week. Just relax and watch TV. It is kind of ironic as she works for the local cable company and sells cell phone service, local phone service and cable TV service. As a bonus we get all of the non pay perview channels for free. And now after watching it for a week she is complaining that there is nothing on TV. Time for another pain pill! I might take one myself.

I hope it heals soon. That surely has to be uncomfortable.

Being laid up is no fun! I have to agree there is nothing on tv.

Hope Liz is better soon, we missed you two this weekend in Hot Springs.

We are off to the wound clinic again in about 45 minutes. Hopefully Liz will show some major healing and get out of this soft cast. I'll post the results when we get home.

Just got back from the clinic. The swelling in the foot and leg is gone. Wound is slowly healing. Put her back in the soft cast but cut it so she can bend her ankle and kind of walk. She can return to work as long as the swelling does not come back. So she changed her cloths and just left for work. Just two weeks before our trip to Eureka Springs. I think we will be riding double on my bike this time. And now that I got rid of the trailer and trailer hitch I have got to figure out a way to hall all of our stuff on the one bike. You really get spoiled when everyone has there own bike and can take whatever they want.

Plan #1: Rick has a home made hitch he will let me use. I have to take my lower bag rails off to use a hitch and I will have to make a mount for a box and get some extra lights wired up. All doable if I start on it pretty soon.

Plan #2: UPS our clothes to the motel and then ship them back home when we leave. Ride 2 up on my bike down there and back. Most practical idea and most likely as cheap as making a mount and wiring up lights.

Plan #3: The one I like the best! Get the wife healed up so she can ride her own bike.

Plan #4: The one I like the least. Trailer the bike to Eureka Springs. Four door Dodge Ram with Hemi motor pulling a 6' X 10' trailer. Most expensive idea.

We go back to the Clinic again next Tuesday Sept. 8th. Was planning to leave on vacation Saturday the 12th. Might just have to change vacation plans a little.

If I can be of any help let me know. You can ship your supplys to me and I can deliver them to the hotel, I have a trailer that will fit my bike or any other that you or someone can use if needed.

Thanks guys for all the offers of help. I take Liz back to the doctor the 8th. I would bet money we end up having to go back to the doctor on the 14 also and that will keep us from leaving early anyway. We will just ride down for the Rally on Wednesday the 16 and come home Sunday. I got an email from the Chamber of Commerace in ES this morning and found out that there is a laundromat in Eureka Springs right next to Hart's Family Center on Hwy 62. So we will most likely just pack real light and do laundry one day if needed. I am going to try to use my C-Pak without using the humidifier and see if that will work for me so I won't need any distilled water. If I have to have the humidifier I will just buy a jug of distilled water in ES and not worry about packing some. Also I told Rick that if we need any extra tools or an air compressor, etc he will have to pack them on this trip as I am removing all the extra stuff I normaly carry. I think that we have just about figured everything out.
