03' Nomad FI Custom Build
I took my stock 2003 Nomad 1500 & broke it down to the frame & built what I envisioned to be a bike built for me. It took 4 months & a lot of trips to the machine shop but my end results are exactly what I was looking for. Let me know what your thoughts are. Thx & ride well.

Welcome vprider - NICE JOB!! Got any bigger pics, and more of them? As asked, more details of the mods when you get a chance. That looks like a bike with plenty of tricks up it's sleeve.

Not real sure where to start. First and foremost please understand that almost none of the parts I put on the bike are made for this bike, what I mean by that is when I started looking for what I had in mind nobody sold custom bolt on parts, I had to make a lot of this fit myself so when I give a list of all the work I will put a C in front of the parts that were custom fit and a B for bolt on parts that you can find. All the parts came off of Ebay or Amazon.
B- Vance & Hines Touring Duals B- Kuryakakyn Hyper Charger B- Cobra FI-2000 Fuel Processor C- RC Components 19” 2.25 Front Rim & Rotor C- 4.25W KCINT Custom Long Boy Front Fender B- Avon HD low profile front tire C- Machined spacers for front wheel & relocate front brake C- All Balls 20x47x20.6 front wheel bearings B- Reckless Fairing w/ 5” smoke windscreen C- 7” Touch Screen Pioneer App 3 Radio B- 6.5 Rockford Fosgate 2 way speakers B- 300 watt Rockford Fosgate Amp B- Leather 3 Pocket Windshield Bag C- Marine Grade 12V Charger B- Large Chrome Spike Fairing Bolts B- Chrome Cross Fairing Trim C- Small built in fan in the fairing to keep everything cool B- Bikers Choice 7” Head lamp and 4”spotlight visors B- Show Chrome Side Covers B- Diamond Plate Chrome Cup Holder B- Kuryakyn Chrome V-Shield Cover Kit B- Progressive 430 11.5 rear Suspension Lowering Kit B- Kuryakyn Long Horn Highway Pegs w/ offset C- Cycle Vision 30” Old School Crosstude Sissy Bar C- Studded Badge Backrest C- Kuyakyn Chrome Saddlebag Filler Panels B- Kuryakyn Throttle Boss Pad B- Kuryakyn ISO Flame Grips B- Scooter Works Phatt III 5.5” risers B- 12” Ape Hanger Z Bars B- Avon Chrome Tribal Mirrors C- Chrome 48” front brake line (went from dual to single) B- Saddlemen Explorer Special Studded Seat w/ backrest C- 2010 Porsche Metallic Marine Blue (paint code D5Q) And most of my sanity, but well worth it. Hope this helps!

Here are a few more photos during the process. I hope I'm not over sharing, but it seemed that I couldn't find many photos of other bikes to get ideas from.

Nice list! I love to see the ingenuity and thought go into a bike. Share away! Be proud of her.
Is that a touch screen stereo in the fairing? Nevermind, missed that in the list the first time. Sweet touch! I'd love to see a vid of that in action.

Sorry my wife got a little camera happy when she walked in and caught me. She had no idea I was doing this to the bike I was going to surprise her when it was done. I told her the bike was in the shop for a water leak. She smooth busted me!

Mr. Grimm it is a touch screen and that was probably the most scary thing to custom fit. I had to take a brand new radio and cut the top and sides off very carefully and and trim it to fit the fairing. It was way too tall and too deep to fit it right out of the box. My motto during this build was if it don't fit force it! By the way it is fabulous, I plug my I phone into it and I can play Pandora all day long surf the web or use the navigation on it. The radio mirrors my phone, it becomes my phone when plugged in. I can even receive phone call through the speakers while driving. Probably the coolest thing I put on there next the the front wheel.
