gas guage on 2011 1700 nomad

When I fill up my new nomad the gas gage sometimes shows that it is full, you drive several miles it then shows the tank is 3/4ers full. Lately when I fill it up it only shows 3/4 ers full. Just wondering if any members are experiencing the same problem. If anyone had the same issues, or have any ideas on a possible fix please let me know. Checked with my local dealer they plan to check into it and let me know. However as we all know the dealers are way behind this site. thanks Dave

I think you will find on all Nomads that the fuel gauge isn't the most accurate thing in the world. Best to use the tripodometer as your fuel gauge. If you fill completely up in the neck it will stay on full longer. I just barely fill past the metal in the neck and I usually come off the full mark at 35 to 40 miles. On a long trip I filled it almost to the top and got 66.6 miles before it came off the full mark. My Nomad is an '08 in case you didn't notice.

Some have used MMO (marvel mystery oil and it has helped with gauge problems.

I just fill it to the top and watch the trip meter, and wait for the low fuel light to come on.

So far my gauge is accurate. But I still use my trip odometer. If the low fuel light comes on it takes 4.3 gallons every time. Have the dealer check the sending unit and replace it.
