I have been a visitor on this site for a while and thought I would join in the fun!
I bought a used 2004 Nomad in Jan 2007. I had not ridden for about 13 years so it was a little intimidating the first time I drove off the parking lot. The bike had 3k miles and looked pretty good. After ridding a while and reading this forum I have made a few adjustments to suit me.
First was a set of edmonds lowers to keep from getting dizzy as I rode. Then came Metzler 880s, Amsoil, Mustang seat with drivers backrest. Tall cobra sissy bar with matching backrest, intercom plug-ins, phatII risers, highway pegs and grips. I could not decide on VH or Cobra pipes so I just debaffled the pipes for a little better sound. Thanks to all of you on the forum! Your posts really helped guide me as to which mods would best suit me.

Welcome, good to see you jump in and start posting.

BTW, I've had Nomads for 9 years, but yours is already set up better than any of mine have ever been :)

Welcome from NY State. Congratulations on the purchase. It sounds like you don't waste any time getting things set up the way you want them

Coolblue, I have long said that the 2004 Nomad L5L was the pinacle of 1500 Vulcan production.

...And the Nocturne Blue/Phantom Silver ones are the prize of the lot.

You won't be sorry you bought that one.

Welcome from Iowa, er I mean NY errr, planet earth? :) I looked at a couple 1500's before getting the 2007. That blue silver combo is a tough one to walk away from. Welcome.
