Improved mileage
I have been seeing better fuel economy since installing my Cobra True Duals pipes. I haven't really analyzed it, but my avg mpg on the stock pipes was around 36.5 mpg, and since the new pipes have gone on, it's just above 40 mpg. I have not tweaked my Cobra FI2000R since installing them.
I'll wait longer and do a better analysis of the mileage data and see what the numbers really are.

i have the same set up as you cj and average between 38 and 40.cobra fi is set at 4/6/0 settings after some fooling with differant settings.here in wyoming the high winds have some effect on mileage.

That's good news. Hopefully the pipes didn't throw your cobra fi off and you can keep it set were it's at.

Even if they did throw it off, fine tuning it back in with the pipes is a no-brainer. And CJ is the best No-Brainer we know!!!

Perhaps he can beat his present MPG's as well. Once i was set up to run 44/48, but my rear CT eats a few MPG's.
In anycase some refinements would be due... With that said and not that I ever did this really, but turning the pots once in a while isn't a bad idea, just to clean the contacts.

Sounds like your investment in the pipes may have been a good thing CJ. The bad thing is it will take a long time to pay for them with the extra MPGs.

The REAL reason you're getting the improved mileage is because the pipes are so DAMN loud you're not opening the throttle as much. You guys and your noisy exhausts.
PS Anybody know where I can get a good price on a set of Roadhouse Duallys? |
