Anybody from the Asheville Area?
Thank you for a wonderful forum.
I'm from Asheville, NC but recently moved from New Port Richey, Fl. in 2007. In Florida I owned a 2005 Kawasaki 1500 Drifter but sold it before moving to Asheville, NC. We love the mountains of western NC and especially enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smokey National Park. Just recently, my wife and I rode the Dragon's Tail at Deal's Gap, on the Tenn. Welcome to the forum Mark, I am a Jax FL resident but sister lives in Landrum SC. Just south of Ashville off I-26 and get up that way often. Maybe we can connect one of those times?
Going to take a year or two for your blood to thicken enough to ride the winter months in those moutain but once it does it's great riding cause all the tourists are gone.
