New Coolant Leak
I just got home tonight from work, and noticed that the small hose in front of the right side floor board was leaking. There was a small amount of coolant on the floor under the hose. The end of the hose was wet when I touched the end of it. The bike hasn't been rode in 2 weeks, and I have a nasty habit of always looking under the bike daily as I walk by.
There are a few small hoses, but this one is the one in front of the right (brake pedal) floor board. What is the source of this leak? Where does the hose start from? Login or Register to Remove Ads |

New Coolant Leak
I think this is the weep from the water pump seal. They sometimes leak and stop and sometimes leak and don't stop.

Sounds like the weep hose to me too. As metals cool they get smaller, and maybe this is just that, and lack of heat, plus pressure against the seal the coolant has hot.
If not and it is all the time, then you need the inner water pump seal. My 06 dripped one drop summer before last, never since. My 01 with 24,000 made 1 drop every night after it had 16,000 miles. For 1 drop I wasn't going to replace that seal.

Yes, it is the hose that goes to the water pump. I'll keep an eye on it for a few days. Besides, riding is almost done here for the winter.

New Coolant Leak
Unless it becomes a regular occurence I would just look at it once in a while, and not worry about it.

New Coolant Leak
My weep hose was dripping slightly when I got the bike out of storage in the Spring. After a couple of rides it stopped. No drips since.
