OK, I'm smart.. why do I need forum etiquette 101?

Ah yes my students, it's time for another session of Forum Etiquette 101....... however this one might be better described as an enhanced version.

Have you ever carried on a conversation with someone on the forum and wondered who the hell they are? Me too. We can remedy this you know. Just place your name and information in the "Signature" part of your profile.

Click on the PROFILE text link on the top navigation bar, then click MODIFY and scroll down to the Signature part of your profile. Below is what I have in mine as an example:

Robert 'Trip' Hilliard
Lindale, Texas
robert@hilliard.ws
www.hilliard.ws
2005 Kawasaki Nomad "Ruby Earl"

KawaNOW #00001 - www.kawanow.org
Blue Knights XXXIV #59055 - www.blueknightstx34.org

Go Texas Rangers!
Go Texas Longhorns!
Dallas Cowboys? Who cares.

I have two pics included, a top and bottom one. But, I have my full name, location, email, website and info on my Nomad.

Feel free to copy, paste and modify the above text to your signature area. I realize that if you're a felon on the lamb, you probably don't want to do this and draw attention, but for all of us sane and honest members, please consider doing this if you haven't already.

Also, please remember to keep all footer pictures no wider than 800 pixels and no longer than 380 pixels. This will help those that log into the forum at a slower speed or dialup.

Many thanks and of course, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Trip

Sometimes I carry on conversations and can't remember who the hell I am, so this could be useful and kill two birds with one stone.

GREAT tip Trip, this will especially be helpful in the garage section when someone asks a question. We can look at the footer and see what year/size bike we're talking about.

You know Mike.... If I had your last name, I would be known as Trip Tripp.

If I had BD's last name I would be known as Trip Langley.... which has no significance at all.... just sayin'.

Ok, I put my name in the signature so I don't get scolded for not having it. If I missed anything, I'm sure someone will point out my indiscretion.

Tripp was my first choice screen name, Coach however saw fit to knight me the much more fitting, more intriguing, and appropriate "Kawhead".

This is something that is way past due. I have had all my pertinent information on her for two years tomorrow. I have not a damn thing to hide. Hope the ones that are ashamed of their name might decide to put it here so we will know who we are talking with.
